Huhu!

Diese Woche klappt es besser mit dem Donnerstagspost – aber als ich gerade geschaut habe, was ich heute zeigen kann, ist mir aufgefallen, dass nur noch ein Layout in petto habe. Ich verbuche mein Scheitern letzte Woche also einfach als weibliche Intuition und gut ist.

This week I am having better luck with my thursday post. As I was looking at my prepared project photos I realised that there is only one layout left that I can show you. It seems female intuition saved me from having nothing to blog about today. Well done subconsciousness. 

Meine Wohnung ist ja relativ klein – in anderthalb Zimmern lässt sich leider nicht übermäßig viel unterbringen, schon gar kein Bastelzimmer. Aber ich habe ein relativ großes Wohnzimmer, für das ich endlich eine gute Einteilung gefunden habe. Jetzt habe ich einen Chillout-Bereich mit Couch und Fernseher und eine kleine Scrapecke (die ihr hier ein wenig sehen könnt), die ich mittels Expedit abgegrenz habe. Meine beiden Pony-Katzen lieben es, darauf herumzuliegen (besonders Penny kullert gern darauf herum), aber auch Puck liebt es, mir von da oben beim Scrappen zuzuschauen. Dabei ist das Foto entstanden, das ihr auf dem Layout sehen könnt, und darauf bezieht sich auch der Titel “Ceiling Cat is watching you”.

My flat is pretty small – there is no room for a scrap room at all. But my living room is rather big and some weeks ago I rearranged my furniture to split the room into a chillout-area and a small scrap-space (here is a snapshot of it). I used my Expedit as a room divider and my two cats love it up there. Especially Penny – she is always rolling around on the top. Puck often sits there when he’s watching my scrap – on one such occasion I took the picture you can see on my layout and that is also where the title comes from “Ceiling Cat is watching you”. 

Alle verwendeten Papiere sind aus der Maggie Holmes Bloom Kollektion, genauso wie ein gGroßteil der Die Cutes/Chipboard Teile. Nur die zwei Blumen sind aus der Wonder Kollektion, die passten einfach besser zu den Papieren. Und wie ihr sehen könnt, habe ich ausnahmsweise mal keinen Goldgarn genutzt, sondern Platinum-farbenen. Ist der nicht auch ganz zauberhaft?

All papers used are from the Maggie Holmes Bloom Collection as are most of the ephemera and chipboard pieces. The flower chipboard stickers are from the Wonder Collection – I found that they looked better with the papers then the ones from Bloom. Also, as you can see, I did not use gold thread for this layout. Instead, this one is platinum colored, isn’t it just gorgeous? I love it. 

Für den Hintergrund hatte ich erst einen schönen Effekt mittels Folien-Technik geplant, das hat aber nicht so funktioniert, wie ich es wollte. Daher habe ich schließlich nur ein paar Spritzer mit schwarzem Heidi Swapp Color Shine und einem aus Aquarellfarben gemischten Rosaton ein paar Spritzer verteilt.

For the background I was planning on doing some pretty effects with the packaging technique but that feel through. I just didn’t work how I wanted it to. So I just sprinkled a bit of black Heidi Swapp Color Shine and some rose colored watercolors around the page.
